A Different Kind Of Caviar

In this project I explore the physical and optical properties of water gel beads. These beads, commonly used to keep plants hydrated, have the ability to absorb water. Looking at them in a jar at home, I felt compelled to take some images of them.

I added some colouring and then shot a few trial images. I could not avoid thinking about caviar. A surreal caviar. One that you certainly would not want to eat…
